About

After obtaining my PhD in Molecular Biology, I came from Belgium to the United States in 1995 to conduct cancer research at Stanford University. But my heart had always been in traveling (Europe, America, Africa and Asia).

So one day, I decided to make my dream come true: sharing my love of traveling and giving people the opportunity to really experience a different culture. Instead of a basic ‘touristy’ sightseeing trip to France, I wanted to immerse very small groups into French culture, let them meet locals, eat authentic cuisine and ‘live’ an actual French experience. That’s how French Escapade was born.

After 3 years in business, I started to expand my offer to new countries. I am now organizing tours to Belgium, my own country and Italy soon. I also start to specialize in more and more tours for women.

In this blog, I would like to share with you information about France and Belgium: history, culture, food, art, news but  I also will give you some tips on how to travel differently, no matter if you travel solo, with friends or on tours.
